After hearing about an aviation accident, most people would fear the worst. However, even a plane crash lawyer would find the pilot of a recent accident extremely lucky to suvive.
The accident occurred near Tampa Bay at the Bayside Bridge. The pilot was flying in the morning when, at around 2:15 a.m., his Piper Cessna 180 crashed into the water. The 47-year-old pilot was found in shallow water with non-life threatening injuries by the authorities. He was alert at the time he was found and taken to the hospital for his injuries. It was not immediately known what caused the crash, but the accident is under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and other agencies.
Any time an accident involving a plane occurs, the most important thing is to find the pilot and make sure any injuries are tended to immediately. However, once they are taken care of, the question immediately arises as to why the plane went down in the first place. Sometimes it is simply pilot error, and in those cases the pilot heals and moves on. However, oftentimes it is not that simple because there are other reasons, such as some sort of malfunction that was beyond the pilot's control. In those cases, it can often be hard to find out who should be held responsible, and it can sometimes only be sorted out with the help of a plane crash attorney. A law suit can be brought against the responsible party, whether it be the manufacturer of the plane, the owner - if the owner is not the pilot - or whoever else could be involved.
Recovering from a plane crash is often difficult not just for the victim, but for his family as well. Seeking out help is often one of the best first steps in order to make a complete recovery.
