Vioxx® Lawsuits

Vioxx®, or rofecoxib, is an anti-inflammatory drug designed to reduce pain associated with arthritis. In 2004, the manufacturers of Vioxx®, Merck & Co., initiated a nationwide recall of the drug in response to studies that demonstrated an increased risk of heart attack and stroke for Vioxx® users who had taken the drug for more than 18 months. Since the recall, reports have surfaced which suggest that Merck & Co. may have continued to market Vioxx® despite being aware of the risk of deadly side effects associated with the drug. Our Florida Vioxx® attorneys are now investigating the liability of Merck & Co. as well as other parties involved in the manufacture and distribution of Vioxx®.

Guidant and Medtronic Defibrillator Lawsuits -

Heart defibrillator recalls are becoming increasingly common. These implantable devices are designed to maintain normal heart rhythm by delivering a series of electrical shocks when irregular heartbeats are detected. Heart defibrillators manufactured by companies like Guidant and Medtronic have the potential to save lives, but they can also cause serious injury and death if they malfunction at a critical time.

Our Florida Vioxx® attorneys are currently accepting cases involving injury associated with defective defibrillators manufactured by Guidant and Medtronic. If you or someone you love has a Medtronic or Guidant heart defibrillator, you may be entitled to compensation if the device has malfunctioned or if you underwent secondary surgery to remove or replace the device.
